- You must wait 3 days after your keratin treatment before you can shampoo your hair to ensure maximum results! If you hair gets wet during the waiting period, just blow dry your hair and use a flat iron where needed to get the bend out of your hair.
- No pony tails, up-do, headbands, barrettes, bobby pin, clips etc. All of these can leave dents, curves and lines in your hair. Avoid tucking your hair behind your ear, as this will also create unwanted creases. For best results, keep your hair as straight as possible.
- Avoid the gym and swimming pool or any type of activity that will cause excessive sweating for the first 2 weeks.
- Always use the recommended shampoo and conditioners to protect and extend results of your keratin treatment. Avoid shampoos with sulfates and sodium chloride as both can deplete the natural oils from your hair and scalp and dissolve the keratin coating.
- Keratin treatments are semi-permanent and wash out gradually so it is recommended to shampoo less frequently.
