Two Wavelengths in One System

GentleMax Pro® combines a 755 nm Alexandrite laser and a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser. These wavelengths interact differently with melanin, giving trained providers options when planning treatment for different skin and hair characteristics.

Alexandrite 755 nm

Alexandrite technology is commonly used for appropriate lighter skin tones, especially when there is strong contrast between the hair and surrounding skin.

Nd:YAG 1064 nm

Nd:YAG uses a longer wavelength and is commonly used when treating darker skin tones because of the way it interacts with pigment in the skin.

Cooling During Treatment

GentleMax Pro® incorporates a cooling system designed to help protect the skin surface and improve comfort during treatment. Sensation still varies by person and treatment area.

No laser should be treated as a one-setting-fits-everyone device. Skin tone, hair color, hair density, treatment area and recent sun exposure should all be considered before treatment.

Laser treatment is designed to reduce future hair growth over a series of sessions. Results vary, and some clients may need maintenance treatments. Very light blonde, gray, white and some red hair may respond differently because there may be less pigment for the laser to target.
