What kind of laser do you use?
We use a LightSheer Diode Laser. The LightSheer Diode is the world’s most advanced treatment for effective removal of unwanted hair. The LightSheer Diode is a state-of-the-art system specially designed to remove unwanted hair faster, with less discomfort and more reliability than others.

How does Laser Hair Removal Work?
A laser produces a beam of highly concentrated light. The light emitted by the LightSheer Diode laser is well absorbed by the pigment located in the hair follicles. During the procedure, the laser pulses for a fraction of a second, long enough to heat up the hair and significantly impede the follicles ability to re-grow.

Will it hurt?
The laser treatment itself may cause some discomfort. Most patients tolerate the procedure well, but because some areas of the body may be more sensitive than others, topical anesthesia can be an option.

Are there any side effects?
The appearance of the treated area immediately following treatment will vary from patient to patient depending on the extent of the procedure and skin type. Side effects, if any, are minor. They may include redness and swelling around the hair follicle, which are, in fact desired clinical results and indicate that the follicle has responded to the treatment.

Should I do anything before my laser treatment?
NO sun exposure. Shaving or trimming is permitted; however, tweezing, threading, sugaring and waxing should not be done. Tell us about any new medication, particularly antibiotics that have photosensitive warning on the bottle or of any changes in your health history.

Will the hair grow back?
It is important to know that the hairs in active growth phase are most treated by the laser. As hairs grow in different phases, more than one treatment will be necessary to achieve the best results. A minimum of 6 treatments are necessary for long-term reduction. Some hair follicles are very stubborn and can only be minimized.

How many treatments will I need?
A minimum of 6 treatments are necessary for long-term reduction in females and a minimum of 8-10 treatments are necessary for long-term reduction in men.

How long will each treatment take?
Depending on the area(s) being treated it can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minutes for larger areas.

How long do I have to wait between treatments?
Treatments are typically performed at 4-12 week intervals for optimal results. The treatment intervals will vary depending on age, gender and the area of the body being treated. It is very important for maximum results to follow your laser hair removal regime.

What should I expect immediately after treatment?
Possible redness and swelling for up to 3 days. Hair will begin to fall out, can take up to 10-14 days (may appear that the hair is growing more rapidly, but the hair that has been treated is actually falling out). Avoid direct sun exposure for 7 days after your last treatment. Avoid the sun and tanning beds during all of your ENTIRE laser sessions. If you are in the sun, wear a full spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30+. Discontinue waxing or tweezing after you begin your laser treatments.
